A new toy for Tinker Bell fans is available at the Emporium Shop in Magic Kingdom — a light-up wand featuring sound effects and the playful pixie inside a clear plastic star.
This new light-up Tinker Bell wand is available in the Emporium Shop on Main Street, U.S.A.
The wand can be turned on to light up. When active, the wand glows a bright blue color.
Tinker Bell is encased in a clear plastic star, standing atop a golden shell-shaped decoration. She smiles and leans forward as she waves her own tiny wand inside.
Tinker Bell's wings are translucent, and the interior of her enclosure has tiny golden star confetti included. She wears her iconic green mini-dress and green slippers with white puff balls attached.
The wand's shaft has a green sparkle pattern, which is clearly visible when the lights are off.
When lit, the shaft glows blue as well.
The toy wand features a golden hilt with raised filigree. A spool of thread, possibly referencing the scene where Wendy sews Peter Pan's shadow in place, is amongst the design artwork. Sparkles and Pixie Dust also pattern the handle. A green gem button turns the lights on and off.
Lights are affixed on the bottom of the wand, which cast projections of Tinker Bell flying, as seen in the images below.
A switch on the back powers the wand's different features, switching between the lights and the projections. The wand flashes when the switch is in the down position and lights up with accompanying Pixie Dust sound effects when it's in the topmost position.
A tag including the age recommendation of 3 or older and Tinker Bell artwork is attached to the toy.
We also recently reported on a new Minnie Mouse Ears headband featuring this character.
Tinker Bell and Fawn were available to meet at Disney's Animal Kingdom as part of Earth Week 2023. If you didn't get a chance to say hi, check out our coverage of the event here.
Disney has also been working on a life-sized version of Tinker Bell who may become available for meet and greets soon.
She is also the star of the Tinker Bell & the Lost Treasure Character Cavalcade. Watch our video of this fun mini-parade below.
Tinker Bell is a fictional character from J. M. Barrie's 1904 play "Peter Pan" and its 1911 novelization "Peter and Wendy." She has appeared in a variety of film and television adaptations of the Peter Pan stories, including of course the 1953 animated Walt Disney film "Peter Pan."
Disney's "Peter Pan" is an animated adventure fantasy produced by Walt Disney Productions and released by RKO Radio Pictures. Tinker Bell was voiced by actress Margaret Kerry. She has been voiced by a number of other actresses over the years, including Mae Whitman in the Disney Fairies film series. The film also stars Bobby Driscoll as Peter Pan, Kathryn Beaumont as Wendy Darling, and Hans Conried as both George Darling and Captain Hook.
